The Mandalika, July 29, 2024 – The Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) Round 4 of 2024 was successfully held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, The Mandalika area, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on July 26-28, 2024. Eight Indonesian riders clinched victories in the second race of the 2024 Idemitsu FIM ARRC Round 4.
In the first race, held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the UB150 class, Fahmi Basam from the YAMAHA LFN HP969 Indonesia Racing Team took the first podium, and Ricky Ibrahim from the same team finished third. In the AP250 class, Reynaldo C.R from YAMAHA YAMALUBE RRS secured the first podium, while Muhammad Faerozi from YAMAHA Racing Indonesia finished third. In the SS600 class, Adenanta Putra from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM took second place. Concluding the first race series, Andi Farid from Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo claimed the first podium in the ASB1000 class.
In the second race, on Sunday, July 28, 2024, in the UB150 class, two Indonesian riders, Husni Zainul Fuadzy and M. Murobbil Vittoni, both from the YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team, took second and third places, while the first podium was taken by MD Akid Aziz from the PitsBike OneWay JRT Tech2 Racing Team. In the AP250 class, there was a clean sweep of the podium with Muhammad Faerozi Toreqotullah from the YAMAHA Racing Indonesia team, Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM, and Arai Agaska Dibani Laksana from the YAMAHA Racing Indonesia team securing the first, second, and third podiums, respectively. Faerozi made a stunning overtaking move on the final lap to emerge as the winner.
In the SS600 class, Mohammad Adenanta Putra from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM secured the first position, followed by Veda Ega Pratama from the same team in second place. Kiattisak Singhapong from the Honda Racing Thailand team took third. In the ASB1000 class, Andi Farid Izdihar from the Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo team, who took first place in Race 1 on Saturday, July 27, 2024, finished third, while the first and second places were secured by Soichiro Minamimoto from the YAMAHA TEKHNE Racing Team ASEAN and Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah from the JDT RACING TEAM, respectively.
Before the event commenced, the Riders Parade & Sunset Meet Up, the first of its kind in Asia, was held in The Mandalika area, Central Lombok, NTB, Indonesia, on July 25, 2024. The Riders Parade & Sunset Meet Up featured 12 riders from various Asian countries. The parade started from the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit and ended at Kuta Beach Park (KBP), creating a moment of interaction between riders, the community, and the public.
Chairman of ARRC Round 4 2024, Troy Warokka, stated, “We express our deepest appreciation and thanks for the success of ARRC Round 4 2024, which has just taken place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. The success of ARRC Round 4 is the result of hard work and dedication from all parties, including Two Wheels Motor Racing (TWMR) as the ARRC promoter, central and local governments, Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI), participants, sponsors, and all parties who supported this event.”
The event featured 90 riders from 11 countries across Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Australia, Yemen, and Japan. Each country sent its best riders to compete in various classes, including Asia Superbike 1000 CC, Supersports 600CC, Asia Production 250CC, and Underbone 150 CC, making the race highly competitive and impressive. The 2024 ARRC Round 4 competition showcased diversity and high-quality racing, leaving a lasting impression on all those present at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, attracting 6,214 spectators who packed the grandstand over the three-day event.
The atmosphere at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit was also enlivened by a Barongsai performance and the distribution of souvenirs by each team during the Pitwalk, the Dulang Penamat dance as the opening of the second race, and the enthusiasm of motor racing fans, creating a festive and exciting racing atmosphere.
