Mataram, October 7, 2026 – A festive atmosphere swept across Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday (October 7), as thousands of people lined the streets from Sangkareang Park to Udayana Park to welcome the world’s riders during the Riders Parade of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026. The enthusiasm marked the growing MotoGP™️ atmosphere in NTB ahead of the race weekend, which will take place on October 9–11, 2026, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Central Lombok.
Featuring a number of riders from the MotoGP™️, Moto2™️, and Moto3™️ classes, the Riders Parade was part of the series of activities leading up to the race weekend on October 9–11, 2026, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok. The event brought the atmosphere of world-class racing closer to the community while bringing together sport, tourism, and local culture.
Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026, Troy Warokka, said that the Riders Parade served as an opportunity to bring the spirit of MotoGP™️ closer to the community, particularly the people of Mataram City and NTB.
“We want people not only to watch the competition at the circuit, but also to experience the MotoGP™️ atmosphere firsthand in the heart of Mataram City,” said Troy.
The riders taking part in this year’s Riders Parade were Marc Márquez, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder, and Máximo Quiles.
Also in attendance were Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, Vice Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Indah Dhamayanti Putri, Mayor of Mataram Mohan Roliskana, and Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron.
For Indonesia, the presence of Veda Pratama and Mario Aji added a special highlight to the event. Both riders represent Indonesian talent that continues to make the country proud on the world racing stage.
The excitement of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 Riders Parade was further enhanced this year by various cultural performances along the route taken by the riders, culminating at Udayana Park. The event continued with a meet and greet, traditional games, and a Gendang Beleq performance, during which the riders themselves took part in playing the traditional drums. The event concluded with the riders directly distributing merchandise to the public.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by the public in welcoming the world’s riders through the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 Riders Parade.

Through this series of activities, the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 is not only bringing world-class motorcycle racing to Indonesia, but also strengthening Mandalika and NTB’s position as a sport tourism destination, while providing an opportunity for the public to become part of the MotoGP™️ experience in Indonesia.
