The Mandalika, July 22, 2024 – PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia/ITDC is committed to encouraging the participation of the surrounding community in the development of The Mandalika, Pujut Sub-district, Central Lombok Regency, NTB.
Not only by recruiting local residents as part of ITDC but also by actively involving them in every event or activity held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, The Mandalika area.
ITDC President Director Ari Respati said, “Our main focus currently is to provide training and certification for local workers to enhance international competitiveness. For example, more than 380 marshals from the local community were involved in organizing the MotoGPTM world event at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit after receiving international certification. In addition, through various training and community empowerment programs we have implemented, such as foreign language training since 2017, mechanic training in 2021, Integrated Farming System in buffer villages, mushroom cultivation training, handicraft, and makeup training, marshal training in 2023, InJourney Hospitality House (IHH), and the Mandalika Child Learning Center, which have been ongoing since 2023. It is hoped that in the development and management of the Mandalika SEZ, we can prepare the community to welcome various international events, thereby improving the overall welfare of the surrounding community.”
